Total tax contribution of UK financial services in 2019 report design
az.design was given the opportunity to pitch design concepts for an annual total tax contirbution report, for the City of London Corporation. Up against three other agencies, our proposal was successful and we were commissioned to work on the 32-page report and a 2-page infographic.
The brief
The brief was to make the complex figures and findings easy to digest with a bright colour palette, simple clean graphics and exciting imagery. The report design concept was based on fibre optic data lines intertwined with people – reflecting the increasing digitalisation within the finance field and the people behind the taxes.
Strategy
The report included creating a complex colour palette to incorporate all the different types of taxes alongside producing an attractive colour wheel. The separate 2-page infographic was produced to promote the key facts and figures, which were then explained in more details in the report. The infographics were also broken up into sections to produce social media cards to promote the report.
Both the report and the 2-pager needed to be supplied as Accessible PDFs as well as high res, artworked PDFs for print. Stringent accessibility checks needed to be adhered to, in accordance to the City of London Corporation guidelines. The entire project took two months to complete and ran on schedule.
Results
