Unilever Foundry: social media animations
Social Media Animations
Unilever Foundry wanted to introduce animation style content into its social media content mix. The ambition was to introduce an animation design that enhanced their brand through bite-size pieces of content, to engage the audience. az.design was consequently commissioned by FTI Consulting to produce the animations for them.
Across seven technology topics (AI, Blockchain, Voice, Messenger, Augmented Reality, Programmatic TV and Influencer Marketing) we produced animations, that explored the topics in an engaging and light-hearted way, bringing the Unilever Foundry brand to life simultaneously.
The aim of the animations was to amplify engagement metrics on their social media channels and drive discussion and demonstrate a stronger, more visible and proactive point of view on technology topics. Questions were asked at the end of the animations to spark discussion and engagement.
A unique illustrative style was created, which worked alongside the existing Unilever Foundry brand. A different colour gradient background was used for the topics, so they worked on their own as a set as well as a complete series. Then 19 animations in total were produced in to be used on LinkedIn and Twitter.
The campaign was a great success and Unilever Foundry and FTI Consulting commissioned a further series a few months later for a new campaign.
