Engaging families with a Beano Afternoon Tea Bus Tour collaboration
Brigit’s Bakery founded a patisserie in London’s Covent Garden – accompanied by an afternoon tea bus tour, which visitors can take around the city’s sights. AZ Design works with the team in a brand manager capacity – providing creative direction, project and account management services. The Beano Afternoon Tea Bus Tour celebrated Beano’s 85th birthday with a transformed London bus, menu, entertainment, and pranks to boot.

Brief
Brigit’s Bakery saw an opportunity to reach a wider audience and make a splash by collaborating with Beano for its 85th anniversary. By creating a spin-off brand for a dedicated afternoon tea bus tour, the bakery hoped to see an uptick in families attending the tours.
Result
Existing brand assets provided by the Beano copyrights team were used to produce a collaborative brand specifically for The Beano Afternoon Tea Bus. We were able to capture the fun and cheeky spirit of the Beano characters and create a totally immersive experience for the whole family. The instantly recognisable tours were hugely popular and further amplified Brigit’s Bakery through association with a much-loved and nostalgic brand.
