AZ Design has been working with Brigit’s Bakery for 11 years, bolstering its growth from a single Covent Garden location to over ten daily Afternoon Tea Bus Tours in Central London. Brief
In 2019, Brigit’s Bakery’s rapid expansion strained their existing website, causing slow load times and high bounce rates, resulting in lost sales. With 65% of users on mobile devices, they needed a faster, more intuitive, responsive site that showcased their diverse offerings and quirky branding, along with ongoing maintenance and SEO support. Additionally, they required creative direction for new projects and brand management to continue growing.
Strategy
The new website is super fast and excellent on mobile. It has more of a focus on their highly successful tour bus franchise, enabling them to launch brand collaborations with Peppa Pig, The Grinch, Paddington and Beano. The strategic planning and UX design that went into the site has paid dividends – they are receiving more traffic and conversions than ever. Google page speed tests show the site is now performing at 100/100 on desktop and 87/100 on mobile. We also manage the on-going SEO for the site on a retainer basis.
Along with website design, build and management, AZ Design is also the design and brand manager for the business – making sure the visuals remain consistent and on point across all marketing materials, including printed flyers, menus, and brochures.
In recent years, this has included creative directing new brand partnerships – producing all logos, branded assets, bus design, and social media template design, as well as overseeing the creative direction of photography shoots and imagery. In 2022, AZ Design produced the Brigit’s Bakery ‘Paddington Afternoon Tea Bus Tour’ brand. Later in the year, ‘The Grinchmas Afternoon Tea Bus Tour’ followed, then ‘The Beano Afternoon Tea Bus Tour’ launched for the iconic brand’s 85th anniversary in 2023.
